Did you know that when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior you were immediately made in right standing with the God who is your Father in Heaven? Scripture teaches you are made righteous, but most people today call that position “golden”. To be “golden” is to have everything going for you and good things coming to you. The first step to being “golden” is to believe you are. Are you confident in the position Jesus has put you in? The Lord tells us in Romans 4 that we stand acceptable to God because we believe. The enemy doesn’t want us to believe we are accepted and blessed by God, but we are. God has got the most amazing plan for each and every one of us and all He wants us to do is trust and believe that truth no matter what is going on in our lives right now. Faith is the only way we can turn those circumstances around. The Lord wants to give us a new perspective that says God is on my side! The bible encourages us in Romans 8:31 about hardships by telling us "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (NIV) What do you have to say when things don't go your way? Do you say, “I guess I didn't deserve that blessing” or “It never works out the way I want it to”? Be careful not to give up too easily! To be successful in life we have to keep the perspective God outlined for us in Romans 8:31. We must remind ourselves and then tell the world "If God be for me, who can be against me!” God doesn’t want us to be quitters. He wants us to know that when we proclaim our faith in His goodness, that faith is going to be tested. The enemy is going to bring anything and everything He can to discredit God in our eyes and in the eyes of those around us, but we have to hold on to the truth in God's word. We have to be ready to stand no matter what we see knowing we are standing on the word of God which is more solid of a foundation than anything we could ever build on our own!
To be “golden” is to have the favor of God all over your life in every area. If you are a born-again child of God then the bible says you are not only golden, but you are also royalty. 1 Peter 2:9 tells us "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (NIV) You were born to rule and reign in this life and you should be singing praise to God the whole time you are doing it. Nothing can stop the favor of God from moving towards you except for you by what you choose to believe. Do you believe what you think, or do you believe what God says? God’s favor will open doors for you that no man can shut. He makes you look good and seats you in high places. He gives you wisdom and discernment to be innovators in your daily lives and in the world. He does exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever think to ask. Trust Him today, His favor is resting on you, and you are “golden”!
